Kicking off a regular series of posts that will go up 2-3 times a week, here is our first New Release trailer recommendation. If, and when, we are finally able to reopen screenings at the GCPH, we will hope to be able to screen some of these titles. Promising Young Woman (2021)

Tipped for Oscar nominations this ‘high risk’ revenge thriller features a chameleon-like performance from British star Carey Mulligan as the titular young woman who cannot stop stumbling across ‘nice guys’ so keen to lend her a ‘helping’ hand in her our of need.
NOTE: The film does deal with themes of misogyny and sexual assault.
